Mr. Rabindra Nath Lahiri, an exponent of Information Technology and Engineering initiated, along with others, the Batanagar Institute of Engineering, Management and Science (BIEMS) in 2012. The motto of Mr.Lahiri was to make the organization a World Class Centre of Excellence. He envisioned to produce self-reliant, innovative and motivated professionals, who will be smart and efficient to carve their own niche. With more than 35 years of experience in this sector, Mr. Lahiri gave thousands of students an opportunity to attain this.
BIEMS provides undergraduate Engineering study leading to B.Tech Degrees in five disciplines:
BIEMS has an unparalleled infrastructure and amenities that are rare in Eastern India. This goads students to enrich their learning process. It is a fifth storey building with well ventilated class rooms, State-of-the art Language Laboratory, 32 Seater high-end Lab with individual user consoles for 1:1 teacher student interaction. Each department has an intake capacity of 60 students, totaling 300 students per year. BIEMS also has Well-equipped Library with rich pool of Text and Reference Books and Online Learning materials.
BIEMS trains students with a scientific approach, and thus amenities like playground for football, badminton court, practice pitches for cricket, and many more are there to boost up the students.
