Mr. Rabindra Nath Lahiri, now the Director of Batanagar Institute of Engineering, Management and Science (BIEMS), has got more than 35 years of diverse professional experience under his belt. He has significantly contributed in Information Technology, Engineering, Power, Manufacturing and Education Sectors and worked in organizations like TCS, NTPC, L&T etc.
He has worked in TCS for 24 years and retired from TCS as Principal Consultant in Feb 2013. As a key member of TCS' consulting practice in Calcutta, Mr Lahiri was head of TCS' ERUI for India Operation in the Power, Energy & Infrastructure sectors in Calcutta , Utilities Business Group. Prior to joining TCS, Mr. Lahiri worked as systems professional in National Thermal Power Corporation (6 years), Larsen & Toubro (3 years) and Regional Computer Centre Calcutta (3 years).
Mr. Lahiri has led several successful business initiatives with overseas consulting companies as well as large domestic clients for partnerships and project awards. His consulting experience spans a diverse range, from Govt. departments, Public Utilities, Private establishments, in Power, Telecom and Manufacturing, in India, UK and USA .
Mr. Lahiri is a Certified Quality Analyst (Quality Assurance Institute, USA) and a JRD QV Internal Examiner (Tata Quality Management Services, India) and SEI-CMM certified.
